Shades of Beige

I thought I had left the heat in Georgia by moving up North, but the weather has been scorching hot here as well. It makes me sad because I cannot spend my days outdoor without feeling sick by the heat, but I still enjoy staring at the beauty of nature from my window.

DIY Summer Color Belt

Hello there! My birthday month of June is here! I am quite excited to add another year to my age.. Haha.. Not really. = P I've been spending so much of my time outdoor to fully embrace one of the most simplest, yet beautiful gifts we are given, Nature. I was inspired by all the vibrant and colorful hues that comes with summer and came up with this easy way to add a pop of color to your solid belts. I love this look because it is very inexpensive to create and it's also a nice way to revamp your belts for the coming season. It's actually versatile enough for any season.

(Sorry for the quality of this video, I'm not really sure what happened to it. Also, I meant to say DIY, not DYI.. LOL! Didn't catch it until I already uploaded. Haha..)

What you'll need is:
An old belt, mine is from Forever 21
Craft threads, mine are from Michael's
Scissors

I hope you guys enjoy this tutorial and have fun re-creating your belts! = )

Minty Blue Maxi at the Beach

It's not yet summer, but the temperature went up to the 80's for the first time this year, so Husband and I took a spontaneous trip to the beach. I just love the sight of the blue ocean extending to the horizon. It's a breathtaking view! I paired my coral swim top with a minty blue maxi for coverage and the subtle bead embellishment on the swim top compliments the maxi skirt very well. The ripples on the skirt due to the wind reminds me of the waves which was perfect for the occasion. = )

Style Tip #2: Maxi Skirt to Summer Dress

When it comes to clothing reconstruction, the possibilities are limitless! I was playing around with a granny maxi skirt that I got from the thrift store to see what I could come up with. I was able to turn it into a halter hi-low dress with just a ribbon, pin, and belt. This look is very boho chic and pretty. My husband says he likes the skirt as a dress a whole lot more. I think I do too! ;)

Style Tip #1: Turn a top into a dress

I'm very guilty of buying clothes and not getting around to wear them. I know, it's a bad habit. Maybe that's why I've learned to cut back on shopping so much. Lol.. Anyways, this is part 1 of my Style Tip series. In this video, I'll show you guys how to turn a top into a dress just by adding a little bit of length.

Rue 21 & Old Navy Clothing Haul

I don't shop a lot anymore. I think... Lol.

My husband and I went walking at a strip mall/plaza last week and I picked up a few items. I wasn't planning to film a haul video, but I got some requests to make one, so here it is!

I think the reason why I feel like I don't shop a lot anymore is probably because whenever I shop, I find really good deals so it doesn't feel like I am using a lot of money on clothes, etc. which makes me feel like I don't shop anymore. Does that even make sense? Lol.. Have a great day! = )

Boyfriend Jeans

I am so happy that the weather is getting warmer. Spring and Fall are my two favorite seasons, neither too hot nor cold, just perfect! This Spring I am pulling out my boyfriend jeans for when the weather is not too hot for shorts, but not too cold either.

I've put together 4 outfits to show how versatile boyfriend jeans can be.

The first pairing is very casual. The plain white button up is very basic and the vest is a neutral color which tones down the look. The white button up can make the whole outfit look very baggy, which is where the vest comes in. It gives the body an hourglass shape, allowing the white button up to be loose fitted, yet still look nice.

The second pairing is girly casual. The bright coral button up is a great pop of color. It adds liveliness to the outfit and takes the boyfriend jeans away from the really boy-ish look, making it more girly.

The third pairing is dressier than the other two. The black vest along with the black point heels are dressy pieces. Because the jeans are so casual, these two combination gives off a chic and edgy look. This is one of my favorite looks out of the three. I love the edge and rock feel when put together.

Well, I hope you guys enjoyed my pairings! If you don't want to dress up and want to keep everything very simple, just pair your boyfriend jeans with a tee and tennis shoes and you're all set to go. Have an awesome week!

High-Low Skirt Photo Session

Hello!! I know I have been MIA for the past few weeks, but I am making my way back. I've just been so busy! Anyways, I've just recently had a small photo session with my husband as my photographer so I wanted to share a short slideshow of the end results. I hope you guys enjoy it!

Spring is just around the corner and I loved the high-low skirt I wore in my photos. I absolutely adore how the skirt was flowing in the air so effortlessly. This is a perfect piece for the warm weather and I cannot wait to pair it with more outfits. If you guys are interested in seeing a pairing video with high-low skirts, then leave me a comment down below and I will be more than happy to make it for you guys!

Have an awesome weekend! =)

Leggings w/ Peek-a-boo Lace

Leggings are one of my most favorite clothing items! I think every girl must have a pair of black leggings as part of their closet essentials. They're so comfortable, easy to dress up or down, and I doubt they'll ever go out of style!

I've come to realize that every time I wear a pair of leggings, it's always been solid black. I was determined to come up with a new look for your everyday leggings that can be incorporated into different outfits, adding life and texture.

I've seen numerous ripped leggings when paired correctly may be flattering, while other times often come off a bit trashy. Because the lace is under the rips, there is no bare skin showing which takes the look to a whole different level. The combination of solid and lace textures bring an edge to your everyday leggings.

I hope you've enjoyed my tutorial. Have a great day! ;)

Fall OOTD

It's layering season! I love Fall and almost everything that comes with it, except for the decreasing temperature we've been having the past few days. I'm really not a big fan of the cold weather and it seems like every year is getting colder sooner and sooner.

So before heading to the store, I filmed a quick OOTD just to share with you guys because it feels like I haven't done one in forever. This is just an everyday casual outfit that you can throw on for quickly for school or to run errands, etc.

Because the outfit was mostly made up of earth toned colors, I absolutely loved the pop of color the scarf adds to the outfit. It brightened up my complexion and it brought life to my outfit.

I hope you guys enjoyed it! See ya next time! ;)

OOTD: To a Wedding

This weekend, I attended my husband's cousin's wedding and it was such a beautiful sight with so much love and laughter. I had a wonderful time there and I wish the best to both the bride and groom!

I've been on the hunt to find a nice dress since weeks ago, but I could never find the perfect one. Each one I tried on looked a little too prom-ish, too club-ish, or just too casual that I had an extremely hard time. The night before the wedding, I decided to settle with a violet dress that I wasn't really feeling but an hour later, I found this one and I literally fell in love with it when I tried it on.

As I was heading out the door to the wedding, I realized I wanted to film a quick outfit of the day to share what I was wearing with you all, therefore, that explains the bad lighting. This was also my husband's first time filming an OOTD video so he hasn't gotten used to focusing the camera when he zooms in and out, but oh well.. With time and practice anyone can become better at anything!

Dress: Unfortunately I don't know the name of the store. It was my first time there and I was in a rush so didn't bother to look at the name. =/
Shoes: Burlington Coat Factory
Necklace: Forever 21
Earrings: Jewelmint
Ring: Forever 21

Disclaimer: All the items mentioned in this video was purchased by me with my own money.

A few pictures to share with you all! ;)

The sweetest man in my life ♥

I respect the privacy of others', therefore I decided to only post pictures of myself and my husband at the wedding. I hope you guys enjoyed my OOTD! Have a wonderful week! ;)

Hello Spring!

Thank goodness I live in the south so spring comes early for us. It's such an exciting season for me! It's so beautiful and I can get me some vitamin D! Lately, every time I go shopping, I've been seeing floral prints everywhere and I just want to purchase all of them! But, I am resisting from going all out because style is constantly changing.

Yesterday was a beautiful day so I took some pictures to share with you guys my first Spring 2011 look/outfit of the day. Of course it's nothing special and I was home alone like usual so I used self timer that's why it cuts off at my knees. I would have done an outfit of the day video instead, but I don't have a full size mirror yet so maybe next time.

Everything I am wearing was purchased from my favorite store: Forever 21.
Like I mentioned earlier, florals are a big hit this spring. I love the sheer blouse. The creme color with burgundy and light pink/peach print fits in with the birth of spring perfectly. The lace on the chest accentuates the top. Nothing too heavy; perfect for warm weather. I paried it with regular denim shorts which you can never go wrong with! I'm wearing my baby pink seashell earrings from my Forever 21 accessories haul. Lastly, side-pinned bouncy waves/curls are very fun and flirty. To me, spring is all about lightweight clothes because it's hot and I don't want my clothes to be bothering me by adding heat.

Well, I made a tutorial on how to achieve the look in my pictures but I'm not sure if I am going to upload it since it's pretty basic and easy; neutral eyes and pink lips with curls pinned to one side. We'll see if I decide to put it up in the next few days or not.

PS -
I think peach and pink are my colors this spring. Those two colors have been very appealing to me. ;)
